Nanoscale metals have wide applications in the field of environment, medicine, and engineering. Now a day, chemical methods are used to synthesize the nanoscalemetals that have adverse effect such as environmental pollution, largeenergy consumption, and health problems. Ag-Nanoparticles are also synthesized by chemical method. Owing to the adverse side effect of chemical methods, Green synthesis of Ag- nanoparticles makes use of plant constituents, like carbohydrates, fats, enzymes, flavonoids, terpenoids, polyphenols, and alkaloids, as reducing agents to synthesize silver nanoparticles. Green synthesis of Ag-nanoparticles has revealed certain limitations such as the complexity in geographical and seasonal distributions ofplants and their compositions that affects green synthesis by time and place ofproduction as well as issues with low purity and poor yield. However, considering current environmental problems and pollution associated with chemical synthesis, green synthesis offers alternative development prospects and potential applications.
